Notes:
Consecrated as Bishop of León in 1824, he was summoned by Fernando VII to his court as state councillor. Opposed to Isabel II’s appointment, he backed the Carlist cause. During the 1st Carlist War he served in France and England for which Don Carlos named him President of his Ministry. He served as papal envoy and chaplain in the field and fled to France after the Bergara Agreement.
